Maintaining your financial aid
How your financial aid can change
The amount of financial aid you receive may increase or decrease depending on many factors, such as your enrolled hours, participation in courses and progress toward your degree. Understanding how these factors affect your aid can help you stay on track.
Scholarship adjustments are updated on My ASU Monday through Friday, except for university-recognized holidays. Any changes you make to your enrollment that cause an adjustment to your aid will be resolved in five to seven business days.
Maintaining enrollment
Your cost of attendance and financial aid depend on factors that include the number of credit hours you are enrolled in and your session enrollment.

Note: The amounts shown in the video are examples and may not reflect your actual costs and scholarships.
Course participation
To keep your financial aid, it is important to participate in your classes; if you do not, your aid could be reduced or cancelled, and you will have to pay your tuition without using financial aid. You must show participation in your courses by the 21st day after the start date to avoid a reduction in or cancellation of your financial aid.

Satisfactory academic progress
To remain eligible for federal financial aid, you must make satisfactory academic progress as a student. This means that you need to complete your classes in a timely manner, and your grades must demonstrate that you are successfully working toward completion of your degree.
